ROBERT LUXFORD
Director & senior designer
Batchelor of Arts Visual Communication RMIT 1992, Robert founded Vivid Communications in 1994. As senior designer for Vivid Communications he has been directly involved in over 3,000 projects across print, environmental and electronic media.
Robert was a contributing writer to the National Museum of Australia Monograph — as well as designing the book.
Has been designing for the architecture, property and construction industries for two decades. He has helped sell new property developments through branded cross-media campaigns and helped produce many successful bid proposals for major projects.
Built environment projects include wayfinding design for Perth Arena, Melbourne Recital Hall, Melbourne Theatre Company, Geelong Library and Heritage Centre, Marion Cultural Centre, Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, electronic sign systems for RMIT, and numerous built projects working directly with architects, property developers and construction companies.
Noel Caulfield
Strategy and Compliance
Graduated from RMIT in 1973 with an Associate Diploma of Industrial Design and commenced work with Alan S Porritt and Associates. Projects included identification and wayfinding for Melbourne Underground Rail Loop Authority (MURLA) and Royal North Shore Hospital.
Contracted to Lettering Centre to design and project manage a three language wayfinding system for the New General Hospital in Bandar Seri Begawan Brunei and wayfinding for Four Seasons resort at Uluru.
Contracted to Emery Vincent and Associates as specialist Industrial Designer for signs and graphics to the New Parliament House Canberra responsible to project architects Mitchell Giurgola & Thorp. Concurrent projects included wayfinding for Darling Harbour and Bicentennial Park.
Founded EXECON Pty Ltd to implement identification programs for major corporations. Identity project rollouts included ICI Australia, Telstra Corporation, Holden (Australia/Asia), Caltex (Australia/ Asia). Project rollouts included wayfinding for Myer Grace Bros, Northland Shopping Centre, Como Centre, Employment National, CentreLink and Sydney Olympic Bid.
SAM MOREL
CREATIVE DIRECTOR, WAYFINDING
Sam Morel is a senior designer and art director with over 25 years experience immersed in corporate identity and environmental design. Sam brings extensive industry experience in design and production. His technical and production knowledge comes through extensive experience deploying environmental graphics for major companies and public utilities.
A brief sampling of projects includes: Village Roadshow national & international display graphics, Parkes Radio Telescope Museum exhibition information design, Australian Electoral Commission educational exhibition graphics, Geelong Library and Heritage Centre, Monash University, Langham Hotel, Northern Hospital wayfinding, Sydney Tower Observation Deck visitor information graphics, Newcastle Maritime Museum exhibition graphics, Museum Victoria wayfinding and exhibition design.
